Maternity ($200 value):  1 hour maternity session including Mommy, Daddy and Big Brothers and Sisters

Newborn ($250 value):  2 hour Newborn session (scheduled in the first 2 weeks after birth) including Mommy, Daddy and Big Brothers and Sister

25 custom made Baby announcements ($30 value)

6 month photo session ($150)

9 month photo session ($150)

12 month smash the cake session ($185):  Let your little one get messy, no fork or spoon provided but we do provide a cake and balloons ; )

$50 portrait credit:  To go towards your online galleries which come with each of your sessions.  You will be able to share your online galleries with friends and family.

Little do you all know but 14 yrs ago I joined the ambulance corp and at the age of 16 I joined the fire department.  This is where I met my husband and many of my very good friends.  As I no longer ride the ambulance or am involved in fire department I still have a love for the life style a volunteer firefighter has, jumping out of bed in the middle of the night when the tones drop, the lights and sirens and the adrenaline rush.

This is a special I am so excited to do!  There is nothing “fake” about this shoot.  The props are REAL, the gear is REAL!  Your little one will love being all dressed up as one of their childhood heros.

Currently I have the bunker gear for sizes 2-4T and 4-6T.  I will purchase additional sizes if this session becomes popular.  Is Daddy a firefighter?  You can also have your son or daughter dress up in Daddy’s gear.  It is absolutely adorable to see them swimming in Daddy’s huge clothes!!!

Inspiration

It’s so much fun building children’s dreams into reality… Meeting their favorite princess, turning into a fairy and playing in a garden, playing inside a gingerbread house that’s just their size.  I’ve done tons of these sessions and all the hard work pays off when I see their eyes light up.  These are the little things that make my job so awesome!  I would love input from my clients about their creative ideas.  Inspiration comes from many places and I am inspired by some of you!  Feel free to email me your ideas and I will try to make them come alive!

Natural Lighting at your home

Some of you may know for the past year or so I’ve said that I don’t travel to clients home (indoors).  Well instead of just saying “No” I’m going to explain why and then say “Yes, I will”.

My reasoning behind not photographing people in their homes was because of natural light.  I photographed a wedding in someone’s home once where I needed to bring my studio lights (which was not the most attractive setup in their beautiful livingroom).  With the proper amount of natural light, this can be completely possible.

Do you have windows?  If so, what time is the lighting best in that room through your window lighting?  Forget lamps and ceiling lights BLAH, we want beautiful sunshine!!!!

Today I visited the home of lil’ Mr. T.  We photographed him in his bedroom, which was absolutely adorable and decorated by his mommy!

With two windows on one wall, it was perfect lighting.  Notice, the light shining in on this beautiful family as they play on the floor : )

I am so excited to share…

I am so excited to share that Sara’s Photography has a new member to our little team.  I would like to introduce you all to Nicole Riemann.

My name is Nicole Riemann, I am a mother of four handsome, crazy, energetic boys.. ages 9, 7, 6, 3 …. I specialize in Natural light, but have taken a liking to studio recently. I am testing out all the fields of Photography as I continue  to build my portfolio. But, I definitely have found a niche with children and families. As cliche as it sound, I have always had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember. I studied it in high school, continued to persue it in college.. but really became important to me after becoming a mother.  My children were born with a camera in their face practically. I love to be able to capture as many moments of their childhood and memories as I possibly can. I love to be able to provide these irreplaceable memories of your family for YOU!

I really enjoy working with Nicole and I feel our styles and ways of shooting are very similar.  Nicole will be working at Sara’s Photography starting in January of 2012.  If I am booked or unavailable you will have the option of working with Nicole.  You can also book a session with her through the website site at www.sarasphotography.com
